Answer (1 of 4): This happens across the board since mid when a certain update borked the game. Bethesda broke their own game and do nothing to fix this issue which is prevalent across all three platforms. It happens whether you have mods or not and load order does not help it regardless. Un. Yea dude, average like an extra 50mbs to mbs depending on the mod. Smaller mods, you can adjust accordingly. Just way it. Keep the mods you want and get rid of the filler. If you have weapon mods, keep ones that are lore friendly. Or any other mod, keep lore friendly ones, just my opinion. Microsoft should increase the size cap for mods on both Skyrim and Fallout 4. When Skyrim was about to come out, it was set to share the same size cap for mod storage as Fallout 4, which was 2GB. Suddenly that changed and the cap was increased up to 5GB of reserved space, but for some reason Fallout 4 was left untouched.

Answer (1 of 2): I don’t know why that is happening, but I know this problem seems to have started around the time Fallout 76 launched. I only came across this about a week ago when I tried to use mods on my Xbox, so I did some reasearch on the issue and couldn’t come to any conclusions as to wh. Why won’t Fallout 4 let me download mods on my Xbox one? I didn’t go over the maximum of 2 gigabytes and I deleted most of my mods that took up space. All I get is “This operation could not be completed”. For Fallout 4 on the Xbox One, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Can't download any mods'. One of the best weapon mods for Fallout 4 on the Xbox One would have to be Modern Firearms (Tactical edition).
